How do I get a new language version of my SEOCMS-site?

 
There are two ways to translate a SEOCMS-site to a new language.
  • Either you create a tab in the menu system in which all sides with the new language will be below.
  • Or we create a whole new SEOCMS-site where everything is translated into English.
 
In the latter case you may need to re-order by a SEOCMS-site if you do not already have the unlimited package where three SEOCMS-site included.
 

Create a tab in the menu system in which all sides with the new language will be below.


If you only want to translate a few pages to a new language so you can create a page in the menu where all the pages with the new language will be.
The pages will remain in their respective menu items in their original languages.
But a copy of the page will be created in the new page in the menu.

 

Step 1. Create new page where all the pages with new language will be below

  1. Select the 'Pages'
  2. Right-click on the 'SEOCMS' (The root of all pages in your SEOCMS).
  3. Select 'Add Page'.
  4. Features of the new page is displayed.
  5. Fill in the properties for the new page. (In this example, we fill in 'New language' in the 'Name')
  6. Select 'Update'.
  7. Save and publish the page.

Step 2. Copy the page you want to create a new language version

  1. Select the 'Pages'
  2. Right-click the page you want to make a copy.
  3. Select 'Copy'
  4. A copy of the page was created with the name 'Copy of' followed by the name of the original page.

Step 3. Move the copy to the page 'New Language'

  1. Right-click on the copy of the page.
  2. Select 'Properties'
  3. Click the box under "Site location in menu '
  4. All the pages in your SEOCMS appear in a list.
  5. Select the page where the new language versions will be. (In our case, we choose 'SEOCMS / New Language')
  6. Choose 'Save'
  7. Absolutely.
 
Now the page is copied to the new page in the menu where all the pages with new language versions will be.
Here you can translate all text to the new language on the new page in the page where the new language versions will be.
(In our case, the page 'New Language')
If you want to copy more pages so just follow Step2 steg3 and again for the new pages.
 

 
Create a new SEOCMS-site where everything is translated into English.

If you want to translate every page of your SEOCMS a new language, we recommend that you ask us to create a whole new SEOCMS-site.
This goes to so we simply copy the entire contents of the original site to the new SEOCMS site.
On the new SEOCMS-site you can now easily translate all text to the new language.
 
If you have the unlimited package so SEOCMS includes 3 different language versions. Hence, 3-SEOCMS sites.
Otherwise you may make an order for a new SEOCMS-site.
If so, contact your project manager you have had contact with the boot on your SEOCMS.
 

Create flags that links to the different language versions

 
If you want to create links between the various SEOCMS-sites (the different versions) so you can add a flag that links to the respective language versions.
If you want the flags to appear on every page of your SEOCMS so it is easy to put the flags in the templates. (Since then the flags will be visible on every page that uses that particular template.)
If only flags are visible on the homepage so you just have to move up the sides of the homepage.
 
  1. So, select the template or page where you want to move up the flags.
  2. Right-click on any 'Text and bild' module on the page.
  3. Select properties.
  4. Properties are shown for the 'Text and bild' module.
  5. (You can also drag draw up a new "Text and bild' module on the page. Properties will then appear on the new 'Text and bild' module)
  6. Add your photos of flags corresponding to the different languages available on your various SEOCMS-sites.

  8. Select the image corresponding to the new language.
  9. Select Tool 'Insert Link'.
  10. (Click here for a description of how to put links in SEOCMS)
  11. Now select which link the SEOCMS-site with the new language. (For example http://www.min-engelska-version.com)
  12. Repeat steps 6 through 8 for each new language including the original site's language.
The instructions above may you do if for every new SEOCMS-site.
(Although the original site has options that link to different languages then it will all the other SEOCMS-sites also have options that link to different languages)
