How do I make my site search engine friendly
There are several ways to make your SEOCMS-site search engine friendly. The two most common are:
- Modify Search engine friendly URL
- Change the META data (title, description and keywords)
Modify Search engine friendly urls:
- Select the Pages tab in the left menu
- Right-click the page you want to change.
- Select Properties.
- In the name of the page is search engine friendly URL field.
- Enter what the page should have the address.
NOTE: Do not use special characters such as:
ÅÄÖ
,.&%¤#()/=?!*
Do not use spaces either.
Instead of spaces, you can use dash or underscore (- _)
Modify the meta data
- Select the 'Pages' in the left menu
- Right-click the page you want to modify and select Properties.
- Select Properties heading for search engine optimization. (Click the green arrow to the far right to bring up this menu).
- Enter the page's title on the page:
eg: "Contact". The title appears at the top of your browser window when you check the page. The title should be a maximum of one sentence.
- Enter description page on the page:
eg: "Contact, here you will find our contact details". Description should be no more than about 3 sentences.
- Enter Keywords for the page on the page:
Examples include: contact, company name, etc.. Deploy words with a comma (,). Do not enter more than 20 keywords.
